This case clarifies that there is no entitlement to park outside one’s own home, as well as covering the condition of painted lines – that they do not need to be pristine. Further, an adjudicator has no discretion and cannot take mitigation into account.

This case clarifies that in order to benefit from the loading/unloading exemption, the exercise must be continuous – stopping to use a lavatory is not an exempt activity.
Also highlighted is the fact that non-receipt of the lawfully served penalty charge notice does not invalidate the penalty.
